Movement Diagnostic System

Currently, diagnosis of movement disorders is mainly based on observation and pattern recognition. Underlying pathological brain networks have not been used in the diagnostic assessment even though this could aid accurate and early specific diagnosis. Our goal is to design a new Movement Diagnostic System (MDS) to differentiate movement disorders with help of EMG-fMRI and a perturbator. By using this novel technique to accurately locate specific pathological brain networks in movement disorders we aim to enable designated early treatment.
