“Advancing addiction treatment using neuromodulation: a rTMS-enhanced CBT trial?”
“The main aim of this study is to investigate whether repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) add-on treatment will improve clinical outcomes in alcohol dependence. For this purpose we will apply ten sessions of rTMS to the Dorsolateral Prefrontal Cortex (DLPFC) of alcohol dependent individuals who are currently under treatment. At several time points we will compare behavioral and neurobiological measures in order to determine the clinical outcomes.”
