“Response inhibition in OCD and misophonia”
“This project employs neuroimaging techniques with the aim of broadening our understanding of misophonia, a psychiatric disorder in which ordinary sounds provoke disproportionately strong negative affect. Additionally, concurrently recorded EEG and LFPs from the nucleus accumbens/vALIC of treatment-resistant OCD patients treated with DBS are used to investigate cortico-striatal functioning and the effect of DBS hereon. In both patient groups, response inhibition ability is tested.”
