“Cognitive Reactivity, Rumination, and ATtention: Investigating vulnerability factors of depressiVE recurrence (CREATIVE)”

“The psychological mechanisms cognitive reactivity (CR), rumination and negative attentional biases (NAB), are known vulnerability factors for recurrent MDD. Interestingly, these are associated and theoretically linked to aberrant ‘Default Mode Network’ (DMN) activity. However, direct research of DMN dysfunction as underlying mechanism behind recurrence is lacking.
We innovatively aim to investigate the combination of CR, rumination and NAB in association with underlying neurobiological abnormalities of DMN activity as predictors for recurrence in remitted MDD-patients.”
